1. Who we are
Wanderply (wanderply.com) is a trip-planning web app with optional iOS and Android shells. When we say "we", "us" or "Wanderply" we mean the operator of this service; "you" means anyone using it, signed in or not.
2. Your account
- You need to be an adult (18+, or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Trips can include younger travelers, but the account holder is an adult.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us via the contact form if you think someone else has access.
- Give us a working email address — it's how sign-in recovery, trip invitations and "your plan is ready" notices reach you. A name is optional.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account page; your trips and data go with it, as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Acceptable use
Use Wanderply to plan real travel for yourself and the people you're traveling with. Don't:
- scrape, bulk-download, or automate requests against the site or its AI features (there are rate limits, and accounts that hammer them get closed);
- upload content you don't have the right to share, or anything unlawful, hateful, or harassing — including in trip notes, comments and shared links;
- probe, overload or otherwise interfere with the service or other people's trips;
- resell or repackage Wanderply, or present its output as your own product.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
4. Your content and sharing
Your trips, notes, photos and documents stay yours. You give us the permission we need to store and display them to you and to the people you share a trip with. If you create a public share link, anyone with the link can read that trip until you revoke it, and someone who saves a copy keeps their copy. Don't share what you wouldn't want copied.
5. AI-generated plans: read this one
Itineraries, day trips, stop descriptions, narrations, cost estimates and concierge answers are generated by AI from public information and the details you enter. They are a starting point, not a guarantee. Plans may contain errors — verify opening hours, prices, reservations, road conditions, closures, permits, weather and safety before you rely on them, and use your own judgement on the drive. Distances, drive times and feasibility checks are estimates. Wanderply is not a travel agent, guide or emergency service, and we don't accept liability for decisions you make based on a generated plan.
6. Booking and affiliate links
Wanderply links out to hotel, car, flight and activity sites, and some of those links are affiliate links: if you book through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Bookings are made with, and governed by, the third party — we don't take payment for them and can't change or refund them. Member-rate badges reflect programs you told us you belong to; the rate you actually get is set by the provider.
7. Third-party services
Maps, weather, geocoding, photos and AI models come from third parties (listed in the Privacy Policy). They can change or go offline outside our control, and their content is theirs, not ours. Links to other sites don't mean we endorse them.
8. Paid plans, renewals and refunds
Planning on Wanderply is free, and we will never put a paywall in front of trips you've already built or the offline copy of your plans. Optional paid products are listed on the pricing page, with the price shown before you pay:
- Trip Pass — a one-time payment that unlocks the paid features for one trip, for everyone who is a member of that trip, for as long as the trip exists on Wanderply. It does not renew and can't be moved to another trip.
- Pro (monthly or yearly) — a subscription that unlocks the paid features on all of your trips. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every month or every year, as you chose) and your card is charged the then-current price until you cancel. You'll get an email receipt for every charge and a reminder before each yearly renewal (sent by our payment processor, Stripe), and if the price ever changes we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
- Founding Lifetime — a one-time payment for Pro features with no renewals, for as long as Wanderply operates. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the service, not a personal guarantee; it's tied to your account and can't be transferred.
Cancelling. You can cancel Pro any time, in one step, from Your plan (Stripe's billing portal) — no email or call needed. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. Monthly periods aren't refunded pro-rata.
Refunds. If a Trip Pass, Pro or Founding Lifetime purchase didn't work for you, ask within 14 days of the charge through the contact page and we'll refund it in full. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars; any sales tax or VAT is shown at checkout. If a renewal payment fails we'll let you know and retry; if it still can't be collected, your account returns to the free plan (your trips stay put). Purchases made through an app store, if we offer them, follow that store's billing and refund rules.
9. Availability and changes
Wanderply is a small, actively developed service. We aim to keep it up, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Features may change, be added or be retired; if we ever shut the service down we'll give you a reasonable chance to export your trips first.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Wanderply isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses arising from travel decisions made using the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for free use, is nothing). Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived by contract.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the consumer-protection rules where you live give you the right to something else.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially we'll update this page and the date at the top, and flag it in the app for signed-in users. Continuing to use Wanderply after that means you accept the new version.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the contact form. For how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy.
